Q: How do I prepare for class?

A: Pre-register for class using Mindbody online. All students need a yoga mat, a large yoga or bath towel to replace over the yoga mat, and a bottle of water. Mats and yoga towels are available in the retail section for purchase.

Wear light athletic clothing. Drink as much water as you can before coming to class. Avoid large meals at least three hours before the class.

Q: What if I”m running a few minutes late?

A: Please try to arrive no later than 10 minutes before the start of class. The instructor locks the front door promptly at the yoga class start time. This ensures that students belongings are safe while in class.

If you are running late (no more than 5 minutes), please call the studio in advance so the studio assistant can let you in.

Q: What is the benefit of the heat and humidity?

A: The elevated temperature and humidity protects muscles and ligaments by allowing for a deep stretching, which results in increased range of motion. The heat and humidity intensifies the cardiovascular workout and detoxifies the body through sweating.

Q: Does the studio have showers?

A: The changing rooms for men and women have one shower each. It is recommended to take a 2-minute rinse to reduce the water usage.

Q: How many students does the yoga studio accommodate?

A: 60 to 65 students can fit comfortably in all classes.

Q: Do you rent mats and towels?

A: The Yoga 626 Studio does not provide mat or towel rental services. All students are responsible for bringing in their own mats and towels.

Mats and towels are available for sale in the retail section of the studio. For mats, the selection is Waymats, which are machine-washable and dryer safe.

Q: When I register for class on Mindbody Online, am I placed in the class in the order of sign up?

A: Yes, that is the policy. You can add yourself to the waitlist for a class that is fully booked. When a student cancels, the waitlisted students are automatically added to class in the order of sign up.

Q: How do you notify a student who is on the waitlist when a spot becomes available?

A: Once added to the class from the waitlist, the students receives an email and text notification. To attend the class, respond to the text with Y to confirm your reservation.

Q: What is the class cancellation policy?

A: The policy is a two-hour cancellation notice. If a monthly and annual member cancels less than two hours or does not attend a reserved class, a charge of $15.00 for the late cancel is charged to the credit card on file. For a student with a 10 or 4-class card, a class is deducted from your package.
